Boston Events: Everything But Water Burlington Mall In-Store Event

Featuring Limited Edition Beers
Inventive menu highlights seasonal ingredients with hints traditional Mexican flavors

WHAT: Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, revered by Bostonians for its prime steaks, exquisite wines and exceptional service, will host a unique four-course Harpoon Beer Dinner highlighting a selection of Harpoon limited edition brews. A Harpoon Brewmaster will be on hand to discuss the featured beers for the evening.

Executive Chef Derek Barragan has carefully crafted an inventive menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients with hints of traditional Mexican flavors complementing the specially selected beers.

Passed Hors d’oeuvres:
Smoked Haddock Tostados, pico de gallo, lime crème fraiche
Duck Prosciutto, mozzarella, aged balsamic, olive oil
Paired with Harpoon Belgian Pale Ale

First Course
Braised Short Rib, Vermont cheddar-jalapeno cornbread, pan jus

New England Model Engineering Show

Admission: $7.00 per adult, $5.00 per child, student or senior.
Children under 6, active and retired military, and CRMI members are free.

What do trains, flutes, and clocks all have in common?
Visitors can find out at the 16th annual New England Model Engineering Show held at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation in Waltham, Mass.
This festival will feature model engineers showcasing their working creations – steam engines, gasoline engines, aircraft engines, Stirling cycle engines, clocks, locomotives, moving puzzles, mini machines, pinhole cameras, wooden vehicle modes, model boats, and much more. There will be 100+ working machines on display, as well as hands-on demonstrations to learn from.

The event will run on February 18th, 2012 from 10am to 4pm, with admission set at $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12.
Children under 6, active and retired military, and CRMI members are free.

The Museum is wheel-chair accessible through the rear entrance. Call for directions:

The Charles River Museum of Industry is located at 154 Moody Street in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Parking is located in the Municipal Parking Lot on the corner of Pine and Copper Street, behind the Embassy theater. For GPS directions to the museum, input 19 Pine Street.
Maximum parking is $2 for 12 hours. Once parked, use Waltham's only foot bridge to cross the river, and follow the path to the Museum's front door.
