• The Ritz-Carlton Boston Common goes the extra mile to welcome children, offering a healthy-foods-focused menu just for kids, as well as specific activites such as a kids scavenger hunt.

• The Hotel Buckminster Boston bed and breakfast has a selection of double and even quadruple king or queen rooms, allowing the whole family to stay together for a more manageable price. Alternatively, up to two children under 17 can stay free provided they're using the existing bedding.

• The Boston Hotel Buckminster is particularly dog friendly. For a one-off $75 deep-cleaning fee, they not only welcome your dog (one per room), but they have gourmet dog cookies, clean-up bags, as well as dog-walking and dog-sitter services.
