Tremont 647 - Chic Restaurant in Boston's South End

My husband and I recently had dinner at Tremont 647, a chef owned restaurant in the South End. The bar was quite busy for a Sunday night, and the restaurant filled up over the course of the evening. We were sat at a high-top in the bar area which had one seat that was a stool, but it was suprisingly comfortable.
We decided to split the Tuna Tartare as an appetizer, which was well seasoned and just the right size for a light app. While the entree selection was small, all of the items merited serious consideration. We split the Country-fried Pork Chop and the Hake. The Pork was cooked well, but the star of the dish was the collared greens, which were braised with chunks of slab bacon, apple cider vinegar and maybe a little maple syrup. The Hake was considerably lighter, but equally as delicious with an edamame puree and scallion sauce (which was really just sliced scallions).
For dessert we split the Banana Cream Pie with Chocolate Bacon Almond Bark. The bark was suprisingly delicious as was the pie itself.
Our server (you will recognize him instantly by his spiked mohawk), was friendly and knowledgable about the menu.
Overall, our experience at Tremont 647 was unique and memorable for the food, atmosphere, and service.This is a must in the South End!
